Shearer Letting Services is a private residential letting company, we let and manage a range of furnished and unfurnished homes. We offer a tailored service for tenants, whether your looking to rent on a temporary basis, or trying to find a more permanent home.
One of our sales team will be available at weekends and evenings. This gives you the flexibility to enquire and arrange viewings at a time that suits you.
Registering with us enables the latest properties to be emailed or text to you once they become available, keeping you up to date and informed with any developments regarding the type of property your wishing to rent. Our goal is to make your rental experience as hassle free and as flexible as possible.

Once we have matched you with a suitable property we will arrange for an accompanied viewing with you at a time that suits all parties.
Once you are happy with a property we can proceed with an application. During this process we will carry out credit checks and referencing. A fee of £30.00 will be charged to process your tenant application.
After your application has been accepted by the landlord, a reservation deposit is usually required to secure the property until completion of a tenancy agreement. This will be used to form part of the security deposit once the tenancy agreement is signed.
A deposit of one month's rent will be held as security for the duration of the tenancy. This is to safeguard against any damage which the tenant may be liable for (please ask for insurance options available). On expiry of your tenancy the security deposit will be refunded after a successful check out. We are registered members of The Deposit Protection Scheme, your deposit can be held within this scheme if desired
Rent is paid on a monthly basis in advance. Your first month's rent is payable when signing the tenancy agreement, along with the remainder of the security deposit. Future rental payments will be paid by standing order. We will provide you with a rent book which you should make available for periodic updating.
We will check you in to your new home. We will ensure that you are familiar with the operation of any appliances and heating system. You will also be given contact details for any queries you may have.
